4 Bed Time Drinks For Winters

Hello everyone, hope all of you are doing good and are keeping healthy and happy. What you drink before bedtime could help you enjoy a more restful night and will also assist you in maintaining your weight and losing that extra weight. It also helps you balance your hormones when your body is in repair mode. There are many strategies you can use to promote good sleep and lose weight including making subtle changes to your diet as some foods have sleep promoting properties. Here are our four favorite drinks that you can consume before bedtime to enhance your sleep  quality while promoting healthy weight loss.

Golden Spiced Milk

Ingredients

  • Raw turmeric and ginger
  • Black pepper
  • Clove and nutmeg
  • Licorice
  • Ajwain
  • Dry dates

Instructions

  • In a bowl, add all the ingredients after making small pieces of clove and nutmeg, licorice, ajwain and dates
  • Add 250 ml cow milk to all the ingredients
  • Boil the milk and then reduce it to 3/4
  • Pour the milk in a cup
  • Add 1 tsp honey (optional)

Carrot Milk

Ingredients

  • 2 small carrots (raw / steamed)
  • 6-7 soaked almonds
  • 1.5 dates or honey
  • Cardamom powder
  • Pinch of turmeric
  • Cinnamon powder or nutmeg
  • 250-300 ml milk

Instructions

  • Add all the ingredients to a blender with some milk
  • Blend this mixture
  • Add the blended mixture in a pan
  • Add some water to prevent sticking
  • Once boiled, reduce heat and cook
  • Stir constantly
  • Add few drops of vanilla extract (optional)
  • Add rest of the milk
  • Cook on mdium heat and reduce the mixture
  • Serve this milk warm

Halim Milk

  • Halim seeds are full of nutrients
  • They contain nutrients like calcium, vitamin A, vitamin C, vitamin C, protein, iron, folic acid and dietary fiber
  • These are also called miracle seeds for any hormonal imbalance related problems
  • These also assist in losing weight in a healthy manner

Ingredients

  • Aliv seeds 1/4 tsp soaked in 2 tbsp water
  • 2 dates
  • 1 tbsp peanut butter
  • 1 tsp cocoa powder
  • 1 cup dairy or plant milk

Instructions

  • Stir and mix the soaked aliv seeds
  • Leace it to soak for minimum 1-4 hours
  • Take the soaked aliv seeds in a blender
  • Add dates with some milk in the blender
  • Add peanut butter, cocoa powder and cinnamon in the blender
  • Blend all the ingredients to make a paste
  • In a pan, heat rest of the milk
  • When the milk starts to boil, add the soaked seeds
  • Add the blended peanut butter and dates milk mixture
  • Stir it to avoid sticking in the bottom
  • Once it starts to boil, switch off the heat
  • Serve this milk in night or evening
  • It is best to be consumed during winters, onset of winters
  • This milk is also given to women post pregnancy

Almond Turmeric Milk

Ingredients

  • 1 cup milk
  • 6-7 soaked almonds
  • Small stick of cinnamon
  • 4 black pepper corn
  • 1 date
  • Small piece of turmeric

Instructions

  • In a small blender / grinder add all the ingredients with some milk
  • Make a paste with almonds, dates, black pepper and cinnamon and some milk
  • Transfer rest of the milk in a pan
  • Add turmeric into the pan
  • Place the pan on heat, stir to mix turmeric
  • Once it starts to boil, add the almond mixture
  • Combine everything well and continue stirring to avoid sticking at the bottom
  • Let it simmer for a few more minutes (or let it reduce a little)
  • Switch off the heat and consume this milk warm
  • Consume it as a bed time drink or evening drink

This milk ensures better sleep, healthy skin, is anti inflammatory and is good for brain health
