Ingredients:
- 3/4 cup almonds
- 1/3 cup walnuts
- 1/2 cup sesame seeds
- 1 cup jaggery (chopped)
- 1/4 tsp baking powder
- 1 tsp ghee (Optional)
Directions
1. Roast the Nuts and Seeds:
In a dry cast iron pan, roast almonds, walnuts and sesame seeds separately until aromatic
Roast on low heat & stir occasionally
Set aside to cool
2. Chop or Grind Nuts, prepare a mix
Coarsely chop or grind the roasted nuts for a mix of texture and crunch.
Add roasted Til in the mixture
In a silicon mould add Chopped Pistachios for Toppings
3. Prepare Jaggery syrup:
In a non-stick pan, add jaggery
Heat on low until it melts and forms a thick syrup
Add baking powder to improve texture (optional)
4. Combine everything:
Quickly add the roasted nuts and seeds to the melted jaggery.
Mix well to coat evenly.
5. Set in Moulds:
Spoon the mixture into silicon moulds and press firmly.
Let it cool and harden for 30 minutes.
6. Once set, pop the bites out of the moulds and enjoy!
Store in an airtight container for up 2-3 week.
