BESAN SHEERA

Indulge in a wholesome and delicious bedtime drink with this Besan Haldi Milk recipe! Sweetened naturally with dates and enriched with the goodness of nuts and seeds, this comforting drink is perfect for weight loss and overall health. Ingredients:

  • Milk- 1.5 cups (dairy or plant based)
  • Dates:2-3
  • Besan: 2tsp
  • Turmeric: ½ tsp
  • Pepper powder:1/8 tsp
  • Cardamom powder: 1/4tsp
  • Nutty makhana powder: 1 tbsp
  • Ghee:1tsp (optional)

Directions:

  • In a blender jar combine some milk, dates and nutty makhana blend the mixture until smooth
  • Heat a pan on low flame and add 1tsp of ghee
  • Add 2tsp of besan roast for 10 seconds
  • Add turmeric and black pepper
  • Continue roasting for 2-3 mins until it turns golden and aromatic
  • Gradually pour in milk, stir continuously
  • Use a whisker to break and avoid lumps
  • Bring the milk to a gentle simmer and let it for 3-4 mins
  • Add the blended mixture and stir well to combine
  • Turn off the heat and transfer milk into a cup
  • Garnish and enjoy hot
