Carrot milk poha

Easy, tasty and filling meal. It’s a Unique recipe with nutritious twist to traditional milk poha recipe. This recipe is packed with goodness of nuts, seeds and carrot. Enjoy as breakfast or dinner during winters.

Ingredients:

  • Poha: 3/4th cup
  • Carrot: 1 (Red/orange)
  • Nuts (Almonds & cashew nuts: 1tbsp each
  • Raisins black/ yellow: 1tbsp
  • Milk (dairy or plant) :200ml
  • Desi cow Ghee: 1-2tsp
  • Desi khand: 1-2tsp
  • Flavours: cinnamon, cardamom (optional)

Directions:

  • Rinse poha in fresh clean water, keep the washed poha aside
  • Grate the carrot
  • Get the nuts, seeds and milk ready
  • Heat a pan and melt desi ghee in it
  • Once ghee melted, add almonds roast the almonds on low heat, stir occasionally
  • Add cashews nuts, followed by seeds and raisins
  • Roast nuts and seeds until they turn slightly brown
  • Once done remove from pan
  • Add grated carrot in the same pan
  • Cook carrots for few minutes, cover the pan and cook on low heat
  • Once carrots are cooked add washed poha in the pan, mix very well
  • Cover and cook for few minutes keep the heat to lowest
  • Ad milk into the pan and mix (try to add warm milk)
  • Cover slightly, let the milk come to a boil
  • Once start to boil, add desi khand for sweetness
  • Add roasted dry fruits in the pan and mix well
  • Switch off the heat
  • Your healthy carrot milk poha is ready to serve
  • This recipe serves 1-2 people
