Creamy Ragi Malt

Ingredients:

  • 2 tbsp Ragi flour
  • 2-3 Tbsp of Nutty Makhana Mix
  • 2 cups Water
  • 3/4 Cup Milk (Dairy / Plant )
  • 1-2 tsp jaggery or Khand (adjust to taste)
  • A pinch of cardamom powder

Directions:

  • In a bowl mix the Ragi flour with a bit of water to make a smooth paste
  • Add 2 cups water in a pan and heat it
  • Add ragi paste in water while stirring continuously
  • This helps to thicken the mixture and prevent clumping
  • Cook for 6-7 minutes
  • Add milk in pan with ragi mixture (add room temperature milk)
  • Stir and cook for few minutes
  • Add 2-3 Tbsp Makhana and nuts powder: this will thicken the texture
  • Add jaggery or sugar and cardamom powder
  • stirring well until everything is dissolved and the malt reaches a smooth, consistency
  • Pour the ragi malt into a cup or bowl
  • Garnish with cocoa powder or chopped nuts if desired, and serve warm
  • Enjoy for breakfast or as snack.
