Crispy Gur Til Toast

Warm, Nutty and Caramel like feel in one Meal. Quick Crunchy Gur Til Ghee Toast Perfect for winter mornings or cozy snack breaks. Wholesome treat combines the goodness of ghee, the sweetness of jaggery, and the crunch of toasted sesame seeds. A delightful mix of flavours and textures

Ingredients:

  • 3-4 slices of whole wheat sourdough bread
  • 1-2 tsp ghee (clarified butter)
  • 1-2 tbsp grated jaggery (gur)
  • 2 tsp toasted sesame seeds (til)
  • Other seeds like flax seeds or pumpkin seeds

Instructions:

  • Chop or grate jaggery
  • Spread ghee evenly on one side of each slice of sourdough bread
  • Heat a pan on low-medium heat
  • Place the bread slices on the pan, ghee-side down, and toast until golden and crisp.
  • Flip the bread and spread grated jaggery on the warm side. Allow it to melt slightly.
  • Sprinkle toasted sesame seeds generously over the melted jaggery.
  • You can use any other seeds as well
  • Toast the other side of the bread on low heat, until crunchy
  • Then remove from the pan.
  • Slice and serve warm with a cup of tea or coffee.
