No milk no ghee healthy guilt free and dairy free tasty festival treats. Each peda has approximately 5gm of quality protein. Must try if you are into fitness.
Ingredients:
- Almonds: ½ cup almonds (soaked and peeled)
- Cashew nuts: ½ cup (soaked)
- Vegan Protein: 3 scoops
- Powdered pool makhana or Desiccated coconut: ½ cup
- Desi khand: 1/3 cup
Directions:
- In a blending jar add peeled almond and cashews
- Add little water and blend, gradually add more water, if required
- Grind until you get a smooth, creamy paste
- In a pan dry roast desiccated coconut/ pool makhana
- Once start to change colour and evenly roasted, remove from pan
- In same pan add almond and cashew paste stir continuously to avoid sticking at the bottom
- Cook until all moisture is absorbed
- Now add vegan protein powder and roasted desiccated coconut or makhana powder
- Stir to combine everything together
- Once mixed and not sticking to pan switch off the heat
- Let it cool a bit
- Add desi khand to the pan, mix well to combine
- Once cool enough to touch, divide the mixture into fist size portions
- Make small balls from each portion
- Now using peda maker or hand make small pedas
- You can also decorate them with pistachios or kesar or any other topping of choice
- Your healthy vegan high protein pedas are ready to enjoy
