Ingredients for Making Kashayam Tea Mix:

  • Dry Coriander Seeds / Dhaniya 1 tbsp
  • Fennel Seeds / Saunf 1 tbsp
  • Ajwain / Carom seeds 1 tsp
  • Black pepper 1 tsp
  • Turmeric / Haldi 1.5 tsp
  • Cinnamon/ Dalchini 1 Small stick (Optional)
  • Ginger Powder / sonth 1 tsp
  • Ashwaganda 1.5 tsp (Optional)
  • Shatavari 1.5 tsp (Optional)
  • Desi Khand (optional)

    Directions to make The Kashayam Tea Mix:

  • Dry roast the ingredients (except ginger powder and turmeric)
  • Roast on low heat until they become aromatic and turn light brown
  • Roast in cast iron pan
  • Use Ceylon Cinnamon if possible

    Let the mixture cool down
  • Add the roasted mixture to a grinder
  • Add Turmeric & ginger power
  • Add ashwaganda and shatavari powder (optional)
  • Now make coarse powder in a grinder
  • Transfer & store into an airtight container
  • This mixture will last for 10-12 Days
  • Don’t make a very large batch

  • Bring the tea to a boil
  • Simmer for 1-2 minutes
  • Strain the tea
  • Your bedtime tea is ready
  1. You can drop few drops of desi cow ghee or cold pressed coconut oil
  2. You can have it in your fasting window
  3. Coconut oil is high in MCT oils
  4. You can have it 45 minutes to 2 hours before bedtime
  5. You can prepare this tea in milk as well
  6. Vegans can use almond milk
