Hello everyone, hope all of you are keeping safe, happy and healthy. This article is all about my all time favourite bed time drink. This drink is called Moon Milk. Made with spices that are popular in Indian cooking, moon milk has been recommended by ayurvedic medicine practitioners for hundreds of years. This anti inflammatory drink helps build the body’s defences against stress, burnout, exhaustion and helps in maintaining hormonal balance and weight loss.

Common ingredients used in moon milk
- Milk (any type)
- Cow / buffalo
- Almond
- Coconut
- Plant
- Ashwganda
- Cinnamon
- Nutmeg
- Honey
- Coconut oil (in case using dairy milk)
Add Ons
- Turmeric
- Rose
- Cocoa
To remove the coconut oil floating on the surface, you can blend using a hand blender or a electric blender
How I make my Moon Milk
Ingredients
- 3/4 tsp aswagandha powder
- 2 cloves
- 1/4 tsp ginger powder
- 4 black pepper
- 1.5 tsp cocoa and almond powder
- Small cinnamon stick
- 1/4 tsp grated nutmeg
- 1 tsp honey (optional)
- 1 tsp pure coconut oil
- 1 cup milk
Instructions
- In a pan, add the milk
- Once the milk is a little warm, add all the other ingredients
- Stir the mixture with the help of a spoon (stirring is very important)
- Wisk using a hand or electric blender
- Simmer and reduce the milk to 3/4 or 1/2
- Strain and consume warm
- Make sure you have this milk close to bed time
- You can add a little bit of cocoa powder on top
Time to have this Moon Milk
- You can replace your evening tea with this Moon Milk
