The healthfulness of a smoothie depends on its ingredients and their proportions. Many smoothies include large or multiple servings of fruits or vegetables, which are recommended in a healthy diet. 5 basic ingredients which should ideally make up a healthy smoothie are
- Water, Non diary milk or curd as base
- Seasonal fruits and vegetables
- Chia or flax seeds, nuts or coconut for healthy fat
- Green powder, herbs and antioxidants as superfood
- Oats, starchy food, quinoa, ragi and barley as power up food or add ons
- Natural isolated protein nut butters, tofu and paneer (optional)
Let us go over my top 6 recommended smoothies which are super healthy and tasty at the same time
1. Jamun smoothie
Ingredients
- 1 cup jamun
- 1 peach
- 1 carrot
- 1/4 mango
- Cold water / coconut water
- 1/2 tbsp honey
Instructions
- Remove seeds of jamun and peach
- Add all the ingredients in a blender
- Add pinch of pink salt to enhance flavour and blend
- Pour your smoothie in jar
Your Jamun smoothie is now ready!! Have it with eggs, poha and veggies as a whole meal for breakfast
2. Plum smoothie
Ingredients
- 4 plums
- 1/4 mango
- 1 tbsp chia seeds
- 2-3 tbsp soaked oats
- Ice cubes for a creamy texture
Instructions
- Add all the ingredients in a blender and blend
- Pour the smoothie in a jar
Your Plum smoothie is now ready!! Have it scrambled eggs and sauted veggies as breakfast
3. Pineapple smoothie
Ingredients
- 1 cup pineapple
- 1/4 mango
- 1/2 cup curd
- 1 tbsp chia seeds
- Ice foe creamy texture
- Little bit of pure vanilla extract

4. Apple smoothie
Ingredients
- 1 green apple
- 1/2 cup frozen pineapple
- 1 cup baby spinach

5. Oats banana choco smoothie
Ingredients
- 1-2 tbsp quick oats
- 1 tbsp infused choco powder
- 1 tbsp cocoa powder

- 250 ml almond milk

- Pour the smoothie in a jar

6. Detox smoothie
Ingredients
- 1 pear
- Mint and spinach
- 1/2 cucumber
- Plain water / coconut water
