Ragi Uttapam

Ragi Uttapam is a popular and healthy South Indian breakfast dish made using ragi flour, also known as finger millet flour. Ragi is a nutrient-dense grain that has gained popularity due to its numerous health benefits.

Ingredients:

  • 3 Tbsp Ragi Flour
  • 1.5 Tbsp Suji
  • 2 Tbsp Curd
  • Some vegetables
  • 40g Tofu or Paneer
  • Salt & Seasoning

Directions :

  • Combine Ragi flour, Suji and curd in a bowl
  • Add little Water to mix
  • Set aside for 15-20 min
  • Meanwhile, chop/grate some veggies and tofu
  • Check on batter if it’s too thick add little water and mix again
  • Add little salt to the mixture
  • Heat a pan, add few drops of ghee
  • Add a ladle full of batter and gently spread it around
  • Place chopped veggies and tofu on top

(do this step quickly after spreading batter)

  • Cover and cook on low heat
  • Add a tsp of ghee on top before flipping
  • Flip the Uttapam carefully onto other side
  • Cover and cook for few more minutes
  • Remove from pan once done
  • Do the same with rest of the batter

    Serve the Ragi Uttapam with your favourite Chutney or dressing
