Sattu sheera

Healthy and easy to make Warm Sattu Breakfast Recipe ..Ep- 44/100 Fit-a-licious Meals. Try and enjoy Sattu Sheera / Pudding Recipe, Perfect for rainy or winter weather. Very comforting, mouth watering and Nutritious.

Ingredients :

  • Sattu flour 2 Tbsp
  • 350ml Milk
  • 1 tsp Desi ghee
  • Some Nuts & Seeds ( Walnuts, cashews)
  • Raisins handful
  • Green Cardamom 1
  • 1/4 tsp Fennel seeds
  • Saffron ( optional)
  • Stevia / 2 tsp desi Khand, 3 dates/ 2-3 tsp jaggery

Directions :

  • In a pan heat 1tsp desi ghee
  • Add walnuts, cashews and pumpkin seeds
  • Roast on medium to low heat until they turn golden brown
  • Add raisins and roast for few seconds
  • Remove nuts and dry fruits from pan
  • Add one crushed cardamom and fennel seeds
  • Add sattu flour in the pan
  • Roast the flour lightly
  • Add 350 ml room temperature milk to the pan
  • Add milk gradually and keep stirring
  • Using ladle keep breaking the lumps
  • Add few strands of kesar to give nice golden colour
  • You can use turmeric instead
  • Keep stirring and cook for another 2-3 minutes
  • Add roasted dry fruits and nuts back into the pan
  • Add Natural sweetener of your choice / Stevia
  • Mix and serve warm
